Job summary

Seipp Construction is seeking a Site Engineer to work across civil and mechanical infrastructure projects in the Lower North Island region. The role is regional, initially across Carterton and RNZAF Base Ohakea, with travel between sites as the programme expands.

You will work on infrastructure projects spanning wastewater treatment, fire water systems and deluge upgrades, coordinating with project teams and stakeholders on site.

Qualifications

• Civil or Mechanical Engineering qualification or another relevant tertiary qualification.
• Civil engineers and mechanical engineers are welcome to apply for roles across civil and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience in construction or infrastructure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate upcoming works.
• Understand drawings and translate them into practical construction plans.
• Address technical and buildability challenges on site.
• Develop methodologies and plan how work will be delivered.
• Track quantities, costs, programme and progress.
• Coordinate procurement and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality assurance and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Identify issues early and help find practical solutions.
