Job summary

Higgins is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join our Surfacing and Road Marking team, delivering diverse infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

You will support planning and delivery, ensure work is safe, on time, within budget and to specification, and coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and materials.

The role requires night shifts and travel with occasional extended stays; permanent, full-time with KiwiSaver matching and fuel discounts as part of our benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in civil construction, surfacing, road maintenance or road marking.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Willingness to work night shifts and travel.
