Extrastaff Limited is seeking Trades Assistants for a two-year project, with roles available nationwide across all regions of New Zealand. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with PPE and tools provided where required, and travel or relocation support on a case-by-case basis.

You may be deployed across New Zealand to assist projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred. You will view electrical layouts, install and test systems, perform repairs, and monitor quality and safety

Qualificações

• Ideally one year of relevant experience or NZQF Level 1 qualification.
• Friendly with good time management and excellent work ethic.
• Commitment to learning and developing skills in the industry.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable and hardworking.

Responsabilidades

• View electrical layouts to determine appropriate systems and ensure compliance.
• Install and test the system to ensure proper operation.
• Repair or replace defective parts as required.
• Follow guidance from Leading Hand, Supervisor or Manager on time, cost and quality targets.
• Monitor progress and communicate delays or issues to the supervisor.
• Carry out quality inspection in area of responsibility per policies.
• Understand safety objectives and seek guidance when needed.
• Participate as a member of the marine team and wider organisation.
• All other duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits:

• $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
• Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week
• Full-time, permanent roles

We are looking for Trades Assistants to join our business, Extrastaff Limited. Our growing business requires organised and trustworthy individuals who pride themselves on quality workmanship. You must be motivated and result driven.You might be asked to work across the country to assist our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• View electrical layouts to determine the appropriate system and ensure compliance to electrical and fire codes
• Install and test the system to make sure it is properly working
• Responsible for repairing any problems with the system and replacing defective parts
• Work within guidelines set by Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure equipment build meets programmed, time, cost and quality requirements
• Monitor progress of all work and, when required, communicate any delays or problems to Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager
• Carry out quality inspection work in area of responsibility in accordance with all policies and procedures
• Ensure full understanding of safety objectives and policies and request advice or opinion when required
• Participate as a member of the marine team and in the wider organisation
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and experience required:

• Ideally one-year relevant experience or relevant qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, but not compulsory
• Friendly, with good time management and excellent work ethic are essential
• A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
