Job summary

AB Equipment is seeking a Service Technician to maintain a wide range of Ground Support Equipment at Queenstown Airport and nearby sites. The role includes working with light to heavy mechanical systems, 12- and 24-volt electricals, hydraulics, and EV equipment, with learning opportunities across plant and equipment.

You will need a full driver’s licence, and the role involves after-hours on-call work. A positive, proactive attitude and good customer service are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with light to heavy mechanical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are important.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and learn new plant and equipment quickly.

Looking for a varied role where your experience is valued?

Our Invercargill Branch is looking for an experienced technician to join our growing Service Team, working primarily throughout Queenstown Airport and the surrounding areas.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced team maintaining a wide range of specialised airport plant and Ground Support Equipment, with the opportunity for off-airport machinery work depending on your skills and experience.

  • Previous airport or GSE experience is an advantage, but strong mechanical experience is what matters most, with an ability to learn new skills.
