Job summary

Woolworths Group in New Zealand is seeking a capable store supervisor to manage checkouts, cash office, and customer service areas while upholding the highest standards. You will lead the team and ensure policies are followed, creating positive customer interactions.

You will also train staff, escalate issues to senior leadership, and champion safety and wellbeing. The role requires weekend shifts and evening coverage, with opportunities for growth within the Woolworths Group network.

• Be the go-to person for everything customer experience, always thinking from the customers point of view
• Collaborate closely with your Team Leader and 'swarm' to ensure efficiency.

What you'll do | Hei mahi

• Look after the checkouts and cash office.
• Monitor all customer service areas such as entry gates, trollies, baskets, lotto, audit and customer loyalty - ensuring everything is consistently of the highest standard and complies with all company policies.
• Create positive interactions with customers, assist with their questions and solve issues.
• Team Leadership & Supervision: Leads the team to ensure correct work completion, provides on-the-job training and coaching, and steps up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts.
• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identifies and timely escalates process-related issues to the Function Lead for effective resolution.
• Safety & Wellbeing Advocacy: Champions a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting hazards, and prioritizing team wellbeing.
• Collaboration & Communication: Actively participates in team collaboration and communication initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
