Job summary

Babbage is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and deliver water, wastewater and stormwater projects in Auckland. You will assess network needs, develop technical designs, prepare reports, and ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance across New Zealand communities.

As a senior team member, you’ll lead projects from concept through construction, collaborate with councils and contractors, and mentor junior engineers while driving sustainability and long-term water

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in water infrastructure projects.
• Deep technical expertise in managing and delivering complex projects.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects from concept to construction.
• Develop and review technical designs, reports, and models.
• Construction management and contract administration.
• Collaborate with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Act as a trusted advisor and contribute to strategic decisions.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory standards and sustainability objectives.
