Job summary

Babbage in Auckland seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and deliver water infrastructure projects, including drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems. You’ll manage complex projects from concept to construction, collaborating with councils, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.

You’ll bring 5+ years of experience, deep technical expertise, and strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with water infrastructure or at least a Bachelor degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Deep technical expertise in managing and delivering complex projects.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects from concept to construction.
• Develop and review technical designs, reports, and models.
• Construction management and contract administration.
• Collaborate closely with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Act as a trusted advisor and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory standards and sustainability objectives.
