Job summary

Babbage in Auckland is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in the Water discipline to design and deliver drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems. You will lead projects from concept to construction, work with councils, contractors and other engineering teams, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and sustainability.

This full-time role requires at least five years' experience in water infrastructure and a bachelor degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with water infrastructure.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.
• Deep technical expertise in managing and delivering complex water projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects from concept (briefs/fee estimates) to construction.
• Develop and review technical designs, reports, and models.
• Construction management and contract administration.
• Collaborate with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
