Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Senior Transport & Travel Coordinator based at Wellington Regional Hospital. You will guide the Transport Administration team and oversee transport, travel, and fleet services across the district to ensure efficient, customer-focused operations.

The role requires leadership experience, strong stakeholder management, and advanced Excel skills; a NZ Class 1 licence is essential to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a senior administration, coordinator, or similar role with responsibility for overseeing workloads, priorities, and day-to-day operations.
• Proven leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with staff, suppliers, and service users across the organisation.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel, with confidence in maintaining records, producing reports, and managing administrative systems.
• A full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles, with flexibility to work across Wellington, Hutt, and Kenepuru Hospital sites as required.
