Job summary

Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead the Te Pae Tawhiti transformation, providing parental leave cover on an 8-month fixed term. The role oversees a complex portfolio of workstreams, ensuring delivery is aligned with organisational priorities and benefits are realised.

You will work with the Director of Transformation and senior governance to plan, sequence and manage dependencies, risks and benefits, and foster adaptive, outcome-focused delivery

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading complex transformation programmes or portfolios.
• Strong strategic planning, sequencing, risk and dependency management.
• Experience working with executive leaders and governance.
• Outcomes- and benefits-focused approach to delivery.
• Experience with agile, adaptive or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Excellent written communication and ability to turn complex information into clear advice.
• Strong relationship and influencing skills across diverse perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction across a complex transformation portfolio.
• Lead planning, sequencing and coordination of transformation workstreams.
• Manage interdependencies, risks and benefits with governance and senior leaders.
• Strengthen programme delivery practice for adaptive, outcomes-focused work.
• Move between strategic and practical delivery, connecting priorities to delivery.
• Collaborate with executive leaders and governance bodies.
