Job summary

OneStaff is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join a busy manufacturing team in East Tamaki, New Zealand. The role covers maintenance and repair of tooling to meet production requirements and requires strong inventory management.

The candidate will liaise with contractors, designers and suppliers for new tools and spare parts, and provide guidance to Die Setters on tooling issues. Applicants should have relevant tool making certifications and a minimum of 10 years of tooling experience, plus

Qualifications

• Experience as Tool Maker with relevant certifications.
• Strong understanding of SMED and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with tooling systems and die tooling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs of tooling to meet production requirements.
• Manage tools and inventory.
• Liaise with contractors / designers / suppliers for new tools, spare parts, etc.
• Provide guidance and assistance to Die Setters on tooling issues.
• Development of SMED for all tooling.
• 10 years experience; experience using a variety of machinery (lathes, drills, grinders).
• Familiar with SMED and CI methodologies.
