Davis Ogilvie and Partners Ltd in Nelson is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor or Survey Technician to join our busy team and support our growing work across the wider Tasman region. You will work on cadastral, engineering and topographical surveys using GNSS, Robotic Total Station and survey software, with opportunities to assist on South Island-wide projects.

This role offers autonomy, collaboration, and a pathway to contribute to local surveying presence while backed by an established

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' land surveying experience.
• Bachelor of Surveying (BSurv) or equivalent.
• Licensed Cadastral Surveyor with a current practising certificate or progressing toward licensing.
• Experience with 12d Model, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong English communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cadastral and engineering survey projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and lodge datasets and ensure LINZ standards compliance.
• Undertake boundary definitions and topographic surveys.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support civil, geotech and environmental projects.
• Engage with clients, contractors and Councils throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply 3D design tools and survey technology (GNSS, total stations, UAV) to support outcomes.
• Mentor junior surveying staff and manage your workflow to deliver high-quality results.
