Job summary

Egis is seeking an Associate Engineer for its New Zealand business to deliver technically complex Building and Structures projects across local and national scopes. The role leads technical professionals and drives project outcomes.

You will leverage 12+ years of consultancy experience, NZ codes knowledge, and CPEng status (preferred) to guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure client satisfaction with quality reports and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Buildings/Structures within a consultancy.
• Accredited tertiary qualifications in Engineering with Structural Engineering expertise.
• CPEng status preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
• Local knowledge of NZ engineering codes and principles.
• Excellent client management and ability to lead project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across project lifecycle to deliver economical solutions.
• Lead planning and management of medium to large-scale projects with tender/design deliverables.
• Manage project performance, financials and resource planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and project resources.
• Act as project liaison; report progress to clients.
• Develop strong client relationships for ongoing service delivery.
• Prepare high-level and complex technical reports.
