Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Associate Engineer to drive planning and delivery of technically complex Building and Structures projects in New Zealand, locally and nationally, while directing junior engineers and project resources.

You will lead project performance, budgets, and resource planning, coordinate tender and design documentation, and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and reporting.

Qualifications

• Accredited tertiary qualifications in Engineering with Structural Engineering expertise.
• Local knowledge of New Zealand Engineering codes and principles.
• CPEng status.
• Excellent client management skills with established network within local market.
• Demonstrated expertise in the management and successful delivery of projects of scope.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and communicate technical information to non-engineers.
• Experience in managing a project team to deliver high-profile projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders, clients and contractors at all levels.
• Desire to help develop team members and grow your own career.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and advice through the project lifecycle to deliver practical solutions.
• Lead planning and management of medium to large-scale projects including tender/design documentation and deliverables.
• Manage project performance, financials, and resource planning.
• Contribute to training and development of junior engineers and project resources.
• Act as project liaison and provide status reports to clients.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
• Prepare and review high-level and complex technical reports.
