Job summary

Envelope is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in New Zealand to lead design and delivery across a range of building and development projects. The role can be based in Auckland or Wellington, with preference for Wellington applicants.

The candidate will bring 6–10 years of structural engineering experience, a relevant degree, and strong client liaison skills, along with knowledge of NZ design standards and approval processes. Join a culture focused on growth and wellbeing.

The role

The Senior Structural Engineer role is an integral part of the Structural team, responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of a wide range of structural engineering and land development projects.

To fill this role, we are looking for a candidate who has significant structural engineering experience working across building and development projects in New Zealand.

This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington. If you would prefer to be based in Wellington, please apply for this ad.

What you’ll bring

• 6 - 10 years structural engineering experience, including significant project management responsibilities/experience.
• A relevant tertiary qualification – bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent demonstrated competency and experience.
• Experience liaising and negotiating with clients and potential clients, and a proven record of achieving goals in line with business plans and company strategy.
• Understanding of New Zealand design standards and council approval processes.
