Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer to contribute to the Buildings Structures team in Wellington. You will lead structural design for diverse building typologies, perform seismic assessments and upgrades, and support construction monitoring and stakeholder liaison.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, quality delivery, and mentoring junior engineers. Based in Wellington, you will collaborate with clients, councils, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or similar.
• Consultancy experience in structural engineering, ideally across building design, seismic assessment or seismic upgrade work.
• Strong technical capability and the confidence to deliver quality work proactively and with sound judgement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for construction monitoring, contractor management and stakeholder liaison.
• Collaborative, curious mindset and a passion for solving complex problems that make a meaningful difference for communities.

Responsibilities
