Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience performing structural analysis in high performance applications
• Strong understanding of composites engineering fundamentals
• Demonstrated expertise with FEA packages: NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, Optistruct/Hyperworks
• Experience with structural testing of composite components or assemblies
• Familiarity supporting composite manufacture and prototyping
• Ability to work to deadlines within a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic components
• Build, run, and post-process FE models for static, dynamic, and thermal loads
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to identify materials and processes
• Define test plans with test engineers and compare data to predictions
• Develop and document structural analysis methods
• Identify and solve technical challenges to keep projects on pace
• Mentor junior engineers
