The Department of Internal Affairs is seeking a Principal Advisor to join our Branch Performance team. You will partner with senior leaders, providing strategic insight, judgement, and guidance on emerging opportunities, risks and issues across major programmes.

In this role you will influence at senior levels, lead priority projects, and help shape delivery of the Identity Services Improvement Roadmap while strengthening accountability and performance across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience briefing Ministers’ offices and senior leaders.
• Ability to navigate the machinery of government.
• Proven ability to provide clear strategic advice and sound judgement.
• Experience across national security, all-of-government coordination or the ODESC environment would be an advantage.
• Experience building trusted relationships across the Branch to support roadmap delivery.
