Job summary

Chorus in Auckland is seeking a commercially minded Senior Solutions Consultant to translate complex technical options into business outcomes. You’ll pair with large NZ organisations and partners to design connectivity, data centre, and emerging tech solutions that drive value and strategic outcomes.

You will influence customer strategy, engage engineers to executives, and work across sales, product, and delivery teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

Qualifications

• Experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales or solutions architecture within telecoms or technology.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Proven track record of designing customised solutions and winning proposals.

Are you the person customers turn to when the challenge is complex, the answer isn't obvious, and the stakes are high? We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Solutions Consultant who thrives on solving customer problems and turning technical possibilities into real business outcomes.

In this role, you'll partner with some of New Zealand's largest organisations, channel partners, and technology leaders to design innovative connectivity, infrastructure, data centre, and emerging technology solutions. You'll work at the intersection of technology and business, leading technical conversations, uncovering customer needs, and shaping tailored solutions that create value for both customers and Chorus. This isn't a traditional pre-sales role focused solely on product recommendations. You'll have the opportunity to influence customer strategy, challenge thinking, and help organisations leverage New Zealand's critical digital infrastructure to achieve their goals.

You'll be joining a team that is helping shape the future of connectivity across Aotearoa. From enabling large-scale digital transformation and supporting data centre growth to helping organisations prepare for AI, cloud, and IoT-driven innovation, you'll play a key role in bringing complex solutions to life. Working closely with sales, product, planning, and delivery teams, you'll be trusted as a technical expert, strategic adviser, and solution architect who can confidently engage everyone from engineers to executive decision-makers.

We're looking for a commercially savvy solutions professional who can bring together technical expertise, customer insight, and strategic thinking to solve complex business challenges. You'll be naturally curious, customer-focused, and energised by building relationships, influencing outcomes, and creating solutions that don't always fit inside a standard box.

You'll bring:

• Expensive proven experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales, technical sales, or solutions architecture within telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of networking, connectivity, fibre, data centre, cloud, or adjacent technology solutions.
• The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business outcomes.
• Experience designing customised solutions and developing customer proposals that win business.
• A proven track record of building trusted customer relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on delivering both customer value and revenue growth.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to lead technical and strategic discussions.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work across sales, product, delivery, and engineering teams to bring solutions to life.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for staying ahead of emerging technologies and market trends.
