Job summary

TechWise Solutions Limited, based in Auckland, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the technical team and contribute to designing, developing and delivering reliable software solutions for clients.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle on custom software and system integration projects, building both new applications and enhancements to existing platforms. The role requires strong fundamentals and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience.
• Strong commercial experience in software development.
• Experience developing modern web-based software applications.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience with Node.js/Fastify or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Experience with Redis is advantageous.
• Good understanding of APIs and software architecture.
• Experience with version control and deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Design, develop, test and maintain custom software applications and internal systems.
• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components.
• Design APIs, architecture and database structures.
• Develop responsive user interfaces for web applications.
• Maintain server-side logic and services.
• Integrate applications with external systems and third-party services.
• Participate in full SDLC and code reviews.
