Job summary

Freightways Information Services in Penrose, Auckland, is hiring a Senior Software Developer for Product Engineering & Agentic AI. You will help build a new platform across NZ Couriers and the Express Package group, using AI agents and modern stacks such as .NET/C#, TypeScript and React, deployed on AWS/Azure.

Work with the product team to understand customer problems, then drive build, release, migration and production support.

Qualifications

• Production experience delivering software with AI coding agents, including the specifications, tests and verification controls that make it safe.
• Commercial track record of taking systems into production and supporting them in service.
• Full-stack skills across .NET/C#, TypeScript with a modern frontend framework (React) and SQL data modelling.
• Cloud delivery on AWS and/or Azure, with infrastructure as code, containers and CI/CD pipelines you've built and owned.
• Secure application design: authentication, authorisation, secrets handling, and automated testing at every layer.
• Ability to explain a technical design to non-technical people, and to learn a new business quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build and support the platform used by customers and operational teams across NZ Couriers, Post Haste and Express Package group.
• Take work through build, release, migration and production support, including deployments at customer sites.
• Define and implement the agentic workflow, shared agent instructions, skills and verification checks.
• Mentor or coach teammates and help others be effective within the team.
