Job summary

Everbridge in Auckland City, NZ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Auckland engineering team. You will contribute to our agentic AI platform powering our SaaS solutions, working across React, Node.js, Java, and Python.

This on-site, full-time role offers opportunities to tackle complex problems and influence architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver features, APIs, and scalable services, while owning feature lifecycles and code quality.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years as a professional software engineer.
Experience developing AI solutions or eagerness to learn.
Experience with Agentic AI practices and coding tools.
Experience with large codebase products or enterprise grade software.
Experience with cloud platforms; AWS preferred.

Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining product features.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications and APIs.
Participating in technical discussions and providing insights to improve architecture, scalability, and performance.
Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
Investigating and resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of web applications and APIs.
