Job summary

Serko Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work across the stack, delivering high-quality, scalable software. You will own major initiatives end-to-end, from design to production, collaborating with Product and Technology teams to ship fast and reliably.

You will mentor junior engineers, champion good coding and testing practices, and help evolve our platform infrastructure, including CI/CD and design patterns for responsive UI across products.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-stack development using Next.js/React and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to integrate shared platform services and strengthen CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-team technical decisions.

Requirements

You work alongside fellow Senior Engineers and being trusted with high autonomy to own major initiatives end-to-end and make the daily technical calls that keep teams shipping fast. You tackle the complex, system-level challenges that span beyond a single pod—proactively strengthening our agentic delivery systems, shaping solution design, and bringing clarity to our hardest engineering problems.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional Product and Technology teams to create quality software that delights our customers
• Break down ambiguous problems into clear technical approaches and executable work.
• Champion consistent coding, testing and delivery practices within the team.
• Produce clean, consistent and well-organized solutions that align with our tech stack and regularly push changes to production.
• Identify cross-cutting concerns and address them early.
• Own delivery outcomes, ensuring predictability, quality and alignment with team goals.
• Ensure solutions are production-ready, including monitoring, alerting and run books where applicable.
• Mentor and support Engineer 1s and Engineer 2s through pairing, reviews and guidance.

What you'll bring

• Modern Full-Stack & Front-End Craft: Deep technical strength in Next.js/React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, with a sharp eye for building accessible, high-craft, customer-facing applications end-to-end. Working fluency in Python is valued.
• AI & Agentic Fluency: Solid understanding of AI and agentic capabilities, ensuring safe, scalable product adoption while actively using AI-assisted tools to multiply throughput for yourself and surrounding engineers.
• Systems Infrastructure & Platform Integration: Experience integrating shared platform services into live products and strengthening core developer infrastructure (CI/CD, test automation, dev environments) to elevate department-wide reliability and speed, alongside familiarity with Design Systems, component architecture, and responsive/accessible UI patterns.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Proven track record of gaining buy-in for technical solutions, explaining complex decisions clearly, and collaborating across teams to solve cross-functional problems. Good communication skills with a history of mentoring across multi-teams.
