Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa – Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Advisor, Electronic Security to lead a specialist team responsible for the design, delivery and lifecycle management of its electronic security systems across custodial and non-custodial sites in Wellington.

You will work with architects, engineers and vendors to ensure systems are updated, secure and compliant, contributing to public safety and reducing re-offending.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of industrial process control systems.
• Proven assurance of large scale commercial security systems.
• Experience in the security consultancy industry.
• Ability to work with technical experts across disciplines.
• Keeps up to date with local and global technology trends and security threats.
• Proven ability to manage operations with resources from multiple vendors.
• Proven relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, process-driven with high-quality systems design experience.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Resilience to the challenges of the corrections environment.
