Job summary

Stats NZ in Wellington is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to shape and deliver security-enabled, scalable solutions for the organisation. This role sits at the heart of a Security Uplift Programme and requires strategic thinking, collaboration with stakeholders, and leadership of analytics teams.

You will lead analysts, work with internal and external suppliers, and contribute to improving business analysis practices and security across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in, and a passion for, Cyber Security.
• 10 years' experience using business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Experience working as a project manager or team member.
• Professional certification and/or equivalent work experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer engagement skills.
• Ability to translate customer needs or requirements into practical initiatives to improve services or develop new services.
• Experience drafting and getting policy approved.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support other business analysts on security-focused initiatives.
• Clarify, develop and implement business capability needs and objectives with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to identify viable, cost-effective enterprise solutions.
