Job summary

Stats NZ, the National Statistics Office, seeks a Senior Business Analyst - Security for a 12-month fixed-term role based in Wellington. You will lead, coach, and support business analysts while shaping secure, scalable enterprise solutions aligned with Stats NZ's strategic direction.

You will collaborate with business and external suppliers to clarify needs, develop capabilities, and implement them, contributing to security improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cyber Security.
• 10 years' experience using business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Experience working as a project manager or team member.
• Professional certification and/or equivalent work experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer engagement skills.
• Ability to translate customer needs or requirements into practical initiatives to improve services or develop new services.
• Experience drafting and getting policy approved.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach other business analysts.
• Enable stakeholders to clarify, develop and implement business capability needs.
