Tauwhare School in a rural setting invites an energetic teacher to join our senior school team to build on the learning foundations already established for Years 7–8. You’ll bring strong classroom practice, a commitment to collaboration, and a passion for learner leadership and continuous improvement.

We value teachers who understand the New Zealand Curriculum, hold a current Teaching Council practising certificate, and are eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand. School visits are welcome.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Teaching Council practising certificate (full registration preferred).
• Be eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
• Experience teaching within the New Zealand Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the senior school (Years 7–8) with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide improvements.
• Uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and build strong relationships with ākonga, whānau, colleagues, and the wider community.
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective assessment practices.
