Job summary

AIA NZ in Auckland seeks a Senior Risk Management Specialist to strengthen and embed risk practices across the business. You will advise leaders and guide decision-making through insightful risk analysis and robust governance on a fixed-term basis.

You will collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Risk Management Services and partner across teams to drive resilience, improved controls, and customer-focused outcomes for Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Experience applying risk management frameworks, controls and governance in complex environments.
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate risk insights into practical recommendations.
• Proven track record building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with multi-priority reporting, assurance and audit delivery.
• Experience in financial services risk management and understanding of insurance operations.
• Tertiary qualification in risk, finance, technology or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and oversight of risk and control frameworks.
• Strengthen risk culture with awareness, accountability and confidence.
• Deliver timely risk reporting and insights for governance discussions.
• Guide assurance and compliance activities and maintain effective controls.
• Partner with stakeholders on projects to identify risks and reduce exposures.
• Champion continuous improvement of risk processes and organisational capability.
