Job summary

Inovo in Christchurch, New Zealand invites applications for a Resource Management Planner/Senior Resource Management Planner. The role covers preparation, assessment and processing of resource consent applications across diverse projects nationwide, with opportunities to contribute to strategic planning and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in planning consultancy, local authority, or similar
• NZPI recognised planning qualification and knowledge of RMA
• Experience preparing/assessing resource consent applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare resource consent applications for land use, subdivision, and regional consents
• Assist projects under Fast-track Approvals Act and other pathways
• Provide planning advice and develop consent strategies
• Contribute to district plan reviews, plan changes and submissions
• Engage with councils, clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Work with mana whenua and iwi on engagement and cultural matters
• Prepare high-quality planning reports, assessments and technical advice
