An exciting opportunity exists for a Resource Management Planner/Senior Resource Management Planner to join our growing Christchurch team. This role is well suited to someone looking to continue building their planning career through hands‑on involvement in a wide range of development projects.

About the role
In this role, you will work as part of our national planning team and be involved in the preparation, assessment and processing of resource consent applications across a diverse range of projects throughout New Zealand. You will work closely with senior planners, project managers, engineers, surveyors and clients, gaining exposure to all stages of the planning and development process.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to strategic planning projects, policy reviews, plan change processes, and work associated with ongoing resource management reform.
You’ll be involved in some of New Zealand’s most significant development, infrastructure, renewable energy and fast‑track projects, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of planners, surveyors, engineers and project managers.

We’re looking for an experienced planner who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building strong relationships with clients and councils, and developing practical planning solutions that help projects progress. You will bring:
While not essential, experience with Fast-track Approvals Act projects, district plan reviews, plan changes, strategic planning initiatives, and the preparation of submissions, evidence or policy assessments, would be valued.
