Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer in Queenstown to evaluate reserves, forecast production, and develop optimized reservoir strategies for maximizing recovery.

You will work with geologists, geophysicists, and drilling engineers, using leading simulation tools to predict performance under various development scenarios and evaluate economic viability of projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience.
• Experience with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
• Strong knowledge of reserve and resource estimation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance data, including pressure and production, to understand reservoir behavior.
• Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models for future performance under development scenarios.
• Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and resources per industry standards (e.g., SPE PRMS).
• Develop and implement optimized reservoir management strategies, including EOR techniques.
• Identify exploration opportunities and evaluate new prospects from geological and engineering data.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and drilling engineers to integrate subsurface data.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and operations teams.
• Stay abreast of advancements in reservoir engineering technologies and methodologies.
