Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and security-focused Remote Automotive Network Security Engineer to join their pioneering cybersecurity division. This fully remote role protects the integrity of in-vehicle networks, ECUs, and cloud services across connected automotive platforms.

You will design and maintain robust security architectures, conduct threat modeling, perform security audits and penetration testing, and ensure compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 6+ years in network security with automotive focus.
• Experience with automotive networks and security.
• Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 and security standards.
• Strong threat modeling and testing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure network architectures for automotive systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities in vehicle networks, ECUs and connected services.
• Develop and deploy security countermeasures, IDS, and firewall configurations.
• Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
