Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to join a fully remote SA-based team. You will design, implement, and test security architectures for in-vehicle ECUs, connectivity platforms, and cloud services.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive cybersecurity, expertise in embedded and network security, cryptography, secure protocols, and ISO 21434, with strong remote collaboration and communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience with automotive focus.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems security, network security, cryptography and secure communication protocols.
• Experience with ISO 21434 and automotive security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of secure coding practices and provide guidance to engineering teams in a remote-first setting .

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on automotive applications.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems security, network security, cryptography, and secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL, IPsec).
• Experience with security standards like ISO 21434 and relevant automotive security practices.
• Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and fuzzing.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, adept at collaborating effectively in a remote environment .
