Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a Wellington-based client specialising in refurbishment, seismic upgrade, and repositioning of large commercial buildings.

You will manage the commercial functions across a portfolio of projects up to NZ$100 million, presenting outcomes to clients and consultants, and mentoring junior staff on a collaborative, client-facing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Significant NZ commercial construction experience.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out, or seismic strengthening projects.
• Experience managing the commercial functions of projects valued up to NZ$100 million.

Responsibilities

• Manage QS processes across multiple projects.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates, and tender submissions.
• Procurement and subcontractor tender management.
• Monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
• Contract administration: payments, invoices, and close-out.
• Present commercial information to clients and stakeholders.
