Job summary

Fletcher Construction is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Wellington team and support cost control across a major transport and infrastructure project. You’ll work with commercial and construction professionals to manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting from delivery through completion.

You’ll bring a tertiary QS qualification, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of NZS3910 contracts and CCS Candy.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Around 5+ years' experience in quantity surveying, commercial, or contract administration roles.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontract management, and project cost control.
• Experience working with NZS3910, alliance contracts, target cost contracts, or similar delivery models.
• Strong working knowledge of CCS Candy.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with commercial reporting and cost management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to build positive working relationships across project teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and expenditure across multiple work activities.
• Assist with monthly forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, and earned value analysis.
• Review subcontractor, labour, plant, and material costs to support commercial performance.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, reconciliations, and financial reporting information.
• Support contract administration, procurement activities, and payment certification processes.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting within project management systems.
