Job summary

Hilton Foods in Auckland seeks a Senior Quality Partner to lead our Quality team in maintaining and improving the QMS. You will work with Quality Systems Manager and others to ensure food safety, compliance and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will drive audits, coach stakeholders, and support training, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. A strong focus on collaboration and quality culture is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific or quality systems field.
  • Experience in quality, food safety or quality systems in FMCG/food production.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, audits and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Partner with operations to embed regulatory, food safety and customer requirements.
  • Coach teams on food safety compliance and quality standards.
  • Lead internal audits, identify improvements and close non-conformances.
  • Contribute to HACCP initiatives and risk management.
  • Coordinate training delivery with Learning & Development and operations.
  • Support non-conformance investigations and continual improvement.

About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Quality Partner to join our Quality team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with the Quality Systems Manager, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS). This is a fantastic opportunity to influence food safety, compliance and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Support and maintain the site's Quality Management System, ensuring policies, procedures, work instructions and documentation remain accurate, compliant and effective.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure regulatory, food safety and customer requirements are embedded in everyday practices.
  • Coach and support stakeholders on food safety compliance, quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections, identify improvement opportunities and drive the closure of non-conformances.
  • Play an active role within the HACCP team, contributing to food safety and risk management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development and operational leaders to ensure training requirements are effectively delivered and maintained.
  • Assist with non-conformance investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Support a culture of quality excellence and accountability throughout the business.
  • The Senior QP also helps with overall team rostering and task management.
  • Assist in coordinating Quality team resources, including rostering and task allocation, to support business priorities and maintain operational effectiveness.
What you’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will ideally have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in a Scientific and/or Quality Systems or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in Quality, Food Safety or Quality Systems role within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, audits and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • The ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • High levels of computer literacy and data management capability.
  • A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
