The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing all aspects of quality inspection across the production process. The role requires an individual who is confident operating and programming CMM equipment, can interpret technical drawings with precision, and has the experience and initiative to bring past learnings and ideas to the table.
Independently operate and program CMM machine.
Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined components.
Review and interpret technical drawings and GD&T to validate product conformity.
Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues in real-time with minimal supervision.
Complete and maintain inspection records, NCRs, CAPAs, and FAI documentation.
Liaise with production and engineering teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain the calibration and control of inspection tools and equipment.
Ensure compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100 or equivalent quality systems.
Report back to the Quality manager as needed.
3+ years' experience in a Quality Inspector role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with CMM operation and programming.
Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work independently.
Deep understanding of technical drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T.
Solid knowledge of quality management systems and inspection procedures.
High attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
Exposure to aerospace, medical, aviation or other high-tolerance industries.
Experience with continuous improvement methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, etc.
