Job summary

Digital Garage seeks a hands-on QA Engineer for a 3-month contract on a core platform project based in Auckland's North Shore. You will own manual and automation testing, shaping test planning and ensuring quality across front-end and API flows in collaboration with developers and a project manager.

You will utilise Playwright and AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, maintain clear test documentation, and drive fast feedback loops during sprints in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on QA with strong manual testing fundamentals.
• Experience with automation testing and modern frameworks.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute thorough manual testing across web front-ends and RESTful API workflows.
• Author, detail, and maintain structured test plans and comprehensive test cases.
• Work closely with developers to ensure rapid feedback loops during sprints.
• Utilise modern frameworks like Playwright and leverage AI tools to speed up workflows.
• Act as the dedicated QA voice on the team, owning quality with minimal supervision.
