The role develops complex protection settings and relay configurations, with power system modelling and coordination studies as core duties.

Qualifications

• Degree accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent.
• Extensive protection engineering experience for transmission & distribution.
• Willingness to relocate to New Zealand and/or relocate internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Protection and Control across APAC.
• Oversee design, review and implementation of protection schemes for utility clients.
• Develop complex protection settings and relay configurations.
• Conduct power system modelling and simulations using industry software.
• Lead relay coordination studies, fault level and short-circuit analyses.
• Apply expertise in secondary systems and HV protection principles.
• Build client relationships, support bids and business development.
• Mentor and upskill engineers with the management team.
