Job summary

Chapman Tripp is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to join our national Property team in an ongoing part-time capacity, working 15 to 20 hours per week.

This senior role focuses on quality, consistency and best practice across the practice while staying connected to interesting property work. You’ll collaborate with partners, lawyers and staff to provide practical technical support and training across a broad range of property matters.

Qualifications

• Senior property lawyer with practical ability to design and deliver training across the national Property team.
• Ability to turn legal and procedural information into practical guidance, precedents and communications.
• Mentor junior lawyers and provide a senior sounding board on complex property issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, update and deliver property training and CPD sessions for clerks, hires and junior lawyers statewide.
• Provide Landonline use and compliance training and keep guidance current.
• Mentor junior lawyers and act as a senior sounding board on complex property issues.
• Respond to precedents, know-how and information requests across the Property team and other teams.
• Draft and update precedents and procedure documents reflecting changes in law and practice.
• Prepare practical legal updates for the team.
• Maintain the Property team site and resources to be current and accessible.
• Collaborate with other teams to share property-related knowledge.
• Support practice compliance processes, including Landonline filing guidance and audit preparation.
