Job summary

Selwyn District Council is seeking a Project Manager - Corporate Plans & Reports to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Long-Term Plan, Annual Plans and Annual Reports. You will work with senior leaders and elected members to shape direction and meet statutory obligations.

Your responsibilities include end-to-end development, consultation, audit, and adoption, applying project management methodologies, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in project management.
• At least 5 years' experience delivering Long-Term Plans, Annual Plans and/or Annual Reports.
• A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).
• Strong relationship management with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Resilience and adaptability under statutory timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development, consultation, audit and adoption of the Long-Term Plan, Annual Plans and Annual Reports.
• Apply recognised project management methodologies to meet statutory requirements and timeframes.
• Collaborate with senior managers, elected members, Audit Office, stakeholders and community.
• Provide regular reporting on progress, risks and issues to senior leadership.
• Facilitate lessons‑learned reviews and embed improvements into future cycles.
• Contribute to governance by ensuring continuous improvement and value for money.
