Seipp is delivering a $23 million infrastructure upgrade at the East Clive Wastewater Treatment Plant in Hastings, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead it.
This is not a standard civil project.
The plant processes approximately 46 million litres of wastewater each day and must remain operational throughout construction. Delivering the upgrade requires careful staging, strong technical judgement and close coordination across civil, mechanical, electrical and specialist work.
For a Senior Project Manager who enjoys solving difficult construction problems, this is an opportunity to lead a genuinely unusual and important piece of infrastructure.
The two-year East Clive programme includes:
One of the most technically demanding stages involves drilling a one-metre-diameter opening into the active concrete outfall pipe while wastewater continues to flow through it.
The specialist expertise required is uncommon, with an international drilling contractor engaged to help deliver this high-risk precision work.
You will take overall responsibility for leading the project safely, commercially and operationally through to successful completion.
You will work closely with Hastings District Council, consultants, specialist contractors and the Seipp project team to manage complex interfaces and maintain certainty across planning, programme, quality and commercial performance.
This is a site-focused leadership role for someone who wants to understand the work properly, stay close to delivery and take ownership when challenges arise.
You will be an experienced civil infrastructure project leader with the confidence and judgement to take ownership of technically demanding work.
You will ideally bring:
Experience in water or wastewater treatment, pump stations, large-diameter pipelines, process infrastructure or projects combining civil and mechanical construction would be advantageous.
Seipp is an award-winning national infrastructure contractor known for delivering technically challenging work and finding practical solutions.
Our self-perform civil capability and in-house mechanical expertise give us greater control over how projects are planned, coordinated and built.
When you join Seipp, you will receive:
This is an opportunity to lead a technically challenging infrastructure project that directly supports the resilience of an essential regional service.
If you enjoy complex construction, live operational environments and solving problems where careful planning really matters, we would like to hear from you.
