Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment is assisting a well-established New Zealand–owned civil construction business in Auckland to appoint a Senior Project Manager / 2IC to lead major civil projects and contribute to regional leadership.

You will deliver projects circa $15M+, manage programmes, finances, safety and quality, and mentor Project Managers and engineers. This role offers a clear pathway into senior operational leadership with autonomy and significant impact on growth.

Qualifications

• Seasoned contractor-side Senior PM or PM ready for broader leadership
• Proven track record delivering large civil construction projects
• Strong commercial, financial, and risk management skills
• Excellent client and stakeholder management and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead major civil construction projects from planning through to completion
• Manage programme, commercial, financial, quality, and H&S performance
• Lead and develop Project Managers and engineers
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders
• Identify commercial opportunities and manage project risks
• Support resource planning and regional operational performance
• Contribute to tendering, pre-construction and business development
• Work with the Regional Manager on business planning and growth
