Job summary

Tiaki Wai Limited – Wellington, North Island is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead a major capital investment programme delivering water infrastructure outcomes. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers across a complex portfolio, shaping strategy and ensuring value-for-money across budgets and timelines.

You will manage budgets, forecasts, risks and dependencies, while providing governance reporting to executives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Infrastructure Management or equivalent.
• Recognised programme management qualification such as MSP, PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
• Leadership or people management qualification with commercial, procurement or contract management qualifications.
• Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure programmes or portfolios.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects and delivery teams.
• Strong experience coaching and developing professional project delivery staff in complex or matrix environments.
• Demonstrated capability managing programme budgets, forecasting, governance reporting and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead a major capital investment programme delivering critical infrastructure outcomes.
• Lead and develop Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across a complex delivery portfolio.
• Shape programme strategy, investment outcomes and delivery performance across scope, cost, risk and benefits.
• Manage programme budgets and forecasts, commercial and supplier relationships, risks and dependencies.
• Provide clear governance reporting to executive and governance forums.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, commercial risks and contractor performance.
• Build relationships with executives, councils, mana whenua, consultants and stakeholders.
