Job summary

Water Hawke's Bay (WHB) is seeking two senior project managers to join the transition team in the PMO. You will plan, coordinate and monitor the delivery of workstreams across water infrastructure programmes to ensure safe, reliable water services from 1 July 2027.

We value senior-level project management experience, credibility with stakeholders, and the ability to navigate an evolving environment. This fixed-term role runs until 30 June 2027 and reports to an experienced programme manager.

Qualifications

• Senior-level project management experience delivering complex programmes.
• Ability to weave together moving parts across multiple streams and a wide range of stakeholders.
• Adaptability and pragmatism in ambiguous environments.
• Experience in water, infrastructure, or utilities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor the delivery of assigned workstreams within WHB programmes.
• Break down tasks, sequence activities, manage risks and dependencies.
• Provide robust reporting and programme controls to ensure delivery in the correct sequence.
• Drive accountability and delivery through strong stakeholder engagement.
