ABB Napier, New Zealand is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead testing, analysis, and design of power conditioning systems within the Critical Power product group. You will work on UPS, BESS, AVC, and SFC technologies, contributing to innovation and system reliability across multiple projects.

You will perform on-site commissioning, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help develop next-generation solutions for energy management.

Formación

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
5+ years designing power electronic systems and leading engineering tasks.
Experience with three-phase/grid-connected power electronics is desirable.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Conduct functional, performance, and safety testing on UPS, BESS, AVC, and SFC systems, ensuring IEC/UL compliance.
Contribute to design, analysis and validation of power conditioning and energy management systems.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, commissioning guides, user manuals, and interface specs.
Plan and execute system commissioning activities on customer sites, incl. pre-commissioning and functional verification.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and system performance; provide guidance to customer applications.
