Job summary

Optimal is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the Innovation team. This senior, full-stack role blends platform ownership with product delivery, shipping customer-facing features and owning scalable infrastructure.

You'll work with AWS, Rails, React, and DevOps practices, mentoring others and shaping platform direction across the team while delivering impact for users worldwide.

Qualifications

Senior full-stack engineer with hands-on product delivery across the stack.
Deep platform and DevOps experience, especially on AWS.
Strong backend with Ruby on Rails and frontend with React.
Focus on reliable, scalable, secure production systems.

Responsibilities

Ship customer-facing features, leveraging platform strength and product delivery.
Architect infrastructure and automation for fast, scalable, observable systems.
Lead tough platform challenges during scaling and deployments.
Contribute across Rails and AWS, with frontend input in React as needed.
Promote reliability and security by design in product development.
Participate in the Platform Guild and shape cross-team platform direction.
Collaborate with designers, product, and AI engineers to refine ideas.
Set technical direction and mentor team members on best practices.
