Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an expert/senior OR scrub/circulate RN or AT.
• Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or Masters.
• Advanced knowledge within intraoperative care.
• A passion towards education, quality improvement and patient safety.
• A commitment to health equity and culturally safe practice.
• A sound knowledge of clinical teaching/learning methods.
• Well-developed communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support perioperative workforce education across Cardiothoracic and ORL services.
• Provide teaching and clinical support to staff advancing scrub and circulating roles.
• Contribute to organisation-wide education, leadership and patient-focused initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Educator to ensure consistent education across Level 4 Theatre services.
