Job summary

KiwiRail is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager - Passenger to lead marketing for Interislander and Great Journeys New Zealand, shaping brand and commercial strategy to drive demand. Reporting to the Head of Customer, Product & Brand, you will guide an experienced marketing and creative team, coordinate integrated campaigns, and ensure consistent brand experiences across channels.

Qualifications

• Senior marketing experience in a customer-led organisation.
• Strong commercial judgement linking marketing to outcomes.
• Ability to translate strategy into multi-channel execution.
• Experience leading and coaching teams.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and partners.
• Tertiary qualification in Marketing or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Set marketing strategy and annual plan for Interislander and GNZ.
• Turn brand strategy into campaigns across channels and touchpoints.
• Lead integrated campaigns to build demand and long-term brand value.
• Align marketing with commercial priorities using insights.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Product, Customer Experience, Digital and Operations.
• Measure campaign effectiveness and optimise future performance.
• Develop and coach the marketing team.
• Manage agencies and partners to maximise ROI.
