Job summary

Fletcher Building in Auckland, New Zealand seeks an experienced Senior Payroll Partner to own end-to-end payroll processing and provide guidance to Payroll Partners. You will support day-to-day payroll activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely pay runs in a high-volume environment.

You will mentor colleagues, work with time and attendance systems, manage employee data securely, and contribute to month-end and year-end closes while upholding payroll controls and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a high-volume NZ payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and the Holidays Act.
• Experience interpreting Collective and Individual Employment agreements.
• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
• NZPPA certification is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing and ensure pay runs are accurate and on time.
• Mentor Payroll Partners with day-to-day payroll activities.
• Collaborate with time and attendance systems to ensure correct pay rules.
• Maintain employee data with secure handling and accuracy.
• Complete month-end reconciliations, payroll reporting and year-end activities.
• Ensure payroll compliance across tax obligations and entitlements.
• Resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally.
